Initial Ramp Agent’s Training is designed and is obligatory for all newly-employed Ramp Agents.
All participants receive a certificate of completion having successfully completed the programme.

COURSE CONTENT
- Common standards, regulations and recommendations
- Basic knowledge of aircraft performance
- Effects of frost, ice, snow, slush and fluids on aircraft performance
- Meteorological considerations on ice formation
- Basic characteristics of aircraft de-icing/anti-icing fluids
- General techniques for removing deposits of frost, ice, slush and snow from aircraft surfaces and for anti-icing
- De-icing/anti-icing procedures
- De-icing/anti-icing equipment and facilities operating procedures including actual operation
- Emergency procedures
- De-icing/anti-icing codes and communication procedures (RT/E), knowledge of the English language
- Environmental considerations (e.g. where to de-ice, spill reporting, hazardous waste control etc.)
- Conditions which can lead to the formation of ice on the aircraft
- Airport operational procedures and ATC
- Quality control
